District Attorney

Montgomery County is served by the Oconee District Attorney’s Office.  In addition to Montgomery County, the Oconee District Attorney’s office serves Wheeler, Telfair, Dodge, Bleckley and Pulaski Counties.  Timothy G. Vaughn is the elected District Attorney.  

The District Attorney’s Office is the prosecution unit for all felony and misdemeanor cases in the superior courts and the juvenile courts of the circuit. Additionally, the office serves as the legal advisor to the law enforcement agencies in the circuit on criminal issues as well as the grand juries.
